Christmas is under two months away and shops all over the UK are already stacking the shelves with festive treats.
As Halloween and Bonfire Night subside, all eyes will be focused on Christmas with many people planning their shopping lists to beat the rush. There will once again be the must-have gifts which will be flying off the shelves while every town centre in the country will have a celebratory 'turning on of the lights' with a minor celebrity.
In light of the festivities, sandwich brand Urban Eat has announced the launch of five Christmas specials. The company unveiled its limited-edition Turkey Feast Sandwich, Brie & Bacon Wrap, Boxing Day Panini, Posh Nosh White Stilton & Festive Chutney Sandwich and Turkey & Cranberry Coleslaw Sandwich. The sandwiches will provide the perfect festive addition to any lunchtime in the coming months.
The Grocer reports that Urban Eat has made the sandwiches available to Kerryfresh's 12,000-strong network of independent retail customers. They will go on sale from November 3rd, retailing between £2.79 and £2.99, and will be available to purchase in McColl's, WH Smith Travel and Welcome Break outlets across the UK.
Launching the sandwiches will help to give hungry workers a festive twist to their daily lunches to go alongside their mince pie.
On top of the Christmas sandwiches, Urban Eat will be launching its new Crafty Kids' Advent promotion which aims to provide thousands of pounds worth of art materials. Youngsters will be able to win prizes for themselves or their school as part of the initiative.
Speaking to the news provider, Isla Owen, Urban Eat's brand manager, said: "Historically our promotions have been predominantly focused on our student following. However, having now secured extensive listing across all sectors, we have decided to do something that will appeal to a wider demographic."
