As a development technologist you will be responsible for the development of new products from idea to implementation.
Your New Job
As a Development technologist you will tasked with the following, to manage the development of a portfolio of projects from concept to launch, with support from Technologist and Line manager as required. Develop, train and promote the use of systems and procedures necessary for compliance and effective project delivery for junior members of staff. Support Technologists in development of skills. To ensure both recipes and manufacturing procedures conform to all relevant corporate policies; food safety, legal, nutrition, ingredient and food ethics technical. To develop relationships with other internal functions and external partners as and when necessary throughout relevant projects. To ensure direct line manager is kept up to date on all relevant project issues and feedback. Presenting project and innovation updates to both cross pier and senior management levels. Deliver new and exciting development within the product area. Lead pilot and factory trials with inputs from relevant functions. Represent R&D for project work. Work with Marketing and consumers to develop ideas. Maintain awareness of trends and consumer behaviours. Work with sensory and marketing teams to set benchmarks. Understand ingredient functionality and supply network. Issue resolution in conjunction with internal and external parties as appropriate. Liaise with site and supplier technical functions to deliver project programmes. Deputise for R&D Manager as appropriate
Your Experience and Requirements
Quantica are searching for someone who is an experienced Development Technologist, with a BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree, Intermediate Food Hygiene (preferred) also a good working knowledge or flavours and agglomeration & extrusion technology.
