Your New Job
We are looking for an experienced project engineer to join our well-established Engineering Department. You will be tasked with the ddevelopment of pipeline of suitable projects, including; feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, etc. To lead compilation of capital authority request documentation/narrative. Lead and engage end users in the development of engineering scope. Develop functional design specifications in compliance with engineering & Premier specifications. Run tender and procurement activity with equipment vendors. Selection of preferred supplier(s) through robust selection process, including application of appropriate contract. Management of all health and safety aspects of capital projects (e.g. CDM requirements) Reporting of project progress; tracking of milestones, activity, priorities, financials. Ensure compliance at pre-delivery milestones to user acceptance test protocols. Manage key resource through to project delivery. Manage post-delivery process including installation, commissioning, training, etc. Manage and develop instrumentation and control strategy, including, process control, shop floor data collection. Manage and develop key departmental systems/tools (e.g. PROMP – Capex control process). Supporting the site’s team and Premier Foods NPD and Category teams with projects from concept to completion.
Your Experience and Requirements
Quantica are searching for candidates that have a degree in engineering, minimum 5 years food or FMCG experience, Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus, Conversant with relevant legislation (e.g. IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR, etc), Demonstrable record in successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG with particular emphasis on specification/integration/implementation, Extensive capital project experience, Demonstrable control system and PLC design/specifications experience, Experience of indirect management of multi-functional/disciplinary teams, Experience of modern manufacturing practice,
